Through My Eyes

Opening March 18th 6-9 pm, runs March 18th - April 22nd

Dr Vicki Anton Athens is know for her podiatry clinic and her generous nature. She shares her time by working with doctors without borders travelling to small villages throughout the world. Vicki is a very excited and passionate person. She is intensely in love with nature and helping others.  The photographs on display document her travels and her passion for nature.  Large scale images of the American national parks mixed with photos of natural photos from Africa and south America. Dr Athens will also have portraits of the children she worked while in Guatemala.  Vicki has been making pictures since high school. Learning to work with 35 milimeter black & white film until she was in the throws of med school where she immersed herself into achieving her Doctor of Podiatry. The process of developing film and having a darkroom is quite toxic. The transition from film to high quality digital was a natural progression for Dr Vicki Anton Athens. Her fervor for gadgets and technology created a more versatile forum to produce photographs and allow for experimentation.  Dr Athen’s eagerness to capture nature as she sees it and share it with those around became apparent immediately. She has had shows in Chicago and is collected by many clinics and hospital and peers in the medical field.

“Through My Eyes” will be the first solo exhibition in Michigan with Fine
art photographs of Natural scenes of American parks and abroad to
