WE THE FLOWERS: Creative Happening Brings Art, Community, and Floral Inspiration to Wyandotte on May 16
Wyandotte, MI — River's Edge Gallery invites the public to a vibrant art celebration of WE THE FLOWERS, a group art exhibition experience showcasing floral-inspired works by local and regional artists. The special event will take place on Saturday, May 16 in historic downtown Wyandotte, offering an afternoon and evening of immersive art, live demonstrations, music, and community gathering.
Originally opening on April 17, WE THE FLOWERS has blossomed into a dynamic exhibition highlighting diverse artistic interpretations of nature, growth, and creative expression. The May 16 event serves as a culminating celebration, inviting guests to experience the artwork in a lively, interactive setting.
The event will unfold in two parts:
From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, visitors can enjoy live artist demonstrations, offering a behind-the-scenes look at creative processes and techniques.
From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the gallery will host the WE THE FLOWERS Soirée, an evening reception featuring floral-inspired drinks, light hors d’oeuvres, and vinyl records spinning to create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme by wearing flower-inspired attire, adding to the immersive and celebratory spirit of the evening.
“We wanted to create more than just an exhibition—we wanted an experience that brings people together through art and nature-inspired creativity,” said the gallery team. “The May 16 celebration is an opportunity to connect with the artists, the work, and the community in a meaningful and joyful way.”
Whether attending the afternoon demonstrations or the evening soirée, guests will have the opportunity to engage with the artwork, meet participating artists, and celebrate the close of a successful and inspiring exhibition.
