Lee Vanderwalker dedicated to my community on Caye Caulker

Vanderwalker has lived in Belize since 2001, when she moved to Caye Caulker and opened the first art gallery on the island. She has been giving back to her community from the very beginning and currently volunteers art electives teacher with Ocean Academy, the island's first and only high school. Lee has taught several classes, recycled jewelry and batik and also distributes FREE READING GLASSES amongst the people of Caye Caulker. This program was started in 2012 by Vanderwalker, with $50, as a community outreach, where she has come to be known as "The Reading Glasses Lady" as well as "The Batik Teacher" in addition to having the best coffee on Caye Caulker.
